Exciting news... a new collaborative partnership

The Statfold Narrow Gauge Museum Trust which operates Statfold Barn Railway and the wider Statfold Country Park have formed a collaborative partnership with The Fairground Heritage Trust which runs the Dingles Fairground Museum.

Due to several factors, The Fairground Heritage Trust has taken the decision to close Dingles Fairground Museum, located in Devon.

Our Trust has reached an agreement with the Fairground Heritage Trust to move the majority of the collection to a new area at Statfold Country Park. This agreement will see Statfold Country Park take on the day-to-day operations management of the museum and rides.

The Fairground Heritage Trust will remain as the owner of the collection with responsibility for conservation and curation. The remainder of the collection will move to the Hollycombe Working Steam Museum in Hampshire with aspirations for an exhibition and operations in the medium term.

The Trust are delighted to be working with The Fairground Heritage Trust and is looking forward to showing all of our visitors, existing and new the delights of heritage fairs and to ‘have all the fun of the fair’!
