On arrival, guests were treated to a ride on 1 of 8 narrow gauge steam trains to immerse them in our event. Our star-studded line up of magnificent engines included: FIJI, WENDY, JACK LANE, SRAGI, ALPHA, HOWARD, HARROGATE, ISIBUTU and KRAUSS. LIASSIC was saved for a special treat of allowing guests onto the footplate to take a trip up and down the high line.

The Burton-&-Ashby Tram, which joined the collection in 2014, was also available to take guests on a nostalgic trip. To finish off the home collection of engines our wonderful diesel Orenstein and Koppel would take you on an idyllic journey around the magical garden railway.

Strawberry Park was a hub of activity as our Road Rail and Ale event expands year on year. This year we welcomed Circus Sensible offering family entertainment and circus skills throughout the day. We were also treated to Steampunk from guests enjoying the ambiance of the festival.

The arena was full of wonderous stall holders full of lovingly knitted plushies, hand-made cakes and crafted trinkets from across the midlands. We also hosted model traders and model societies which displayed amazingly detailed models.
